Many people keep pets. Some people choose unusual pets, such as lizards or snakes. One unusual pet that some people choose is a polar bear. Polar bears are very strong. They can run very fast and jump high in the air. Many people think that owning one of these beautiful animals would be fun, but it is not easy to keep a polar bear as a pet. The main problem is that they need lots of space to move around in and play. A good size for a polar bear’s home would be about 25 meters by 50 meters (80 feet by 160 feet). This means that most houses are too small for one of these big animals to live in comfortably! Another problem with keeping polar bears as pets is their diet. Wild polar bears eat only meat, especially seals and other sea creatures like fish or octopus . They also eat things like berries when there are no other animals around to eat! This makes keeping them at home quite difficult because most pet owners do not want their pets eating meat from the supermarket! Because of this, many owners try to feed their polar bears vegetables instead, but this can cause serious health problems for the animal because vegetables contain less protein than meat does. One way around this problem is to feed them dead chickens or cows every two days while they sleep so they do not realize what they are eating! Keeping a large animal like a polar bear requires much work on the owner’s part, but it can be worth it if you have enough time and money to spend on your new friend.
